Who's Going To Prom ?

.... I AM !

It's the time of the year where all girls start looking frantically for their prom dress. I think some people have already had their prom but mine is in about 3 weeks. Because I live in the UK it's not the traditional american prom where you need to have a date and it's not as formal as the US but still! It's a great excuse to dress up. I have already got my dress from Lipsy and I will be sharing it with you on the day I wear it.
Although I have my dress I still did check out what was on the market so here are a few dresses I thought I'd share with you guys :)

40pounds

This first number is a really cute girly dress for all you girls who aren't too much into bright colours for prom ! This dress is from Miss Selfridge and you can find it here .

48pounds

When you look at this dress it looks really simple and there's nothing too intriguing about it (apart from the hi-lo going on or the fish tail as some of you might call it. I think if it's well accessorised and paired with a nice pair of shoes (i'm thinking strappy metallic-y gold heels or a neon pink heel. ha!) it will look just right for the occasion. This dress is from Topshop and you can find it here !

159pounds

I really like this dress mainly for it's train. The only thing that I see as a bad thing about this dress is the fact that it's bandeau. It can get quite irritating whilst dancing to always have to bring it up... Hmm. From Topshop, you can find it here!

185pounds
This dress is almost perfect ! I wish there weren't those little embellishments. Great dress to show off your legs plus you're most probably going to get some heads turning with the colour of this dress - neon yellow (yeah baby!). From Topshop, check it out here !

250pounds
This is an amazing embellished dress but I don't think we can say the same about the price tag ! But if you do have some extra pounds to spend then all you need to do is click the checkout button ;) From French Connection, find it here!

I took forever to write this post up ! Oh boy. For the past few days I've been just lying in bed feeling awful, desperately trying to revise for my exams which are in exactly two friggin months. Okay, I shall stop freaking myself out.

Hope you guys have a nice week-end and I'm just going to snuggle up in bed and watch BRIDESMAIDS ! Never seen it before but i've heard some good things.

The Sunday Post #03

Hello girlies,

Finally I am on a break ! School is over... for two weeks. I know it's not much but I just needed it.

001. We had a rather relaxing week at school with the teachers going on strike and no tests. Pure bliss. The teachers have given us heaps and heaps of homework to do during the break though! Which is not good news. Ha.

002. I finalized my Christmas presents on Wednesday. I actually had my own money to spend on people this year and it felt so good. I used to love receiving presents but I think I love giving just as much :)

003. Christmas dinner at Carla's was amaze balls. Foie Gras and Sushi were involved. I know they don't go together but it was SO yummy.

004. OMFGSWDIHWID Augustine gave me another Essie Nail Polish for Christmas and Astrid got me nail polishes from Topshop. Yeah, people know me as the nail polish addict. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU girlies. ( I know you'll be reading this Gus :p )

005. Got a new Comptoir des Cotonniers coat on Saturday! Will feature it in a post sometime soon :)

006. It's my sister's birthday today so we went to Tsunami (Japanese restaurant you need to check out) and now we are going to cut her cake. Yum.

On that note, I am going to leave you because it's cutting-the-cake time :) Have a lovely Sunday evening. I think i'm going to watch a bit of telly tonight ! I never do...

Ciao bambinas,

Laura

What I Wore Saturday #03

Hey girlies,

Sorry for being a little late on this post ! I took the pictures late last night and obviously I forgot to take a picture of my shoes. How intelligent ! Anyway, I wore a pretty simple outfit yesterday. A comfy laid-back outfit. Just what I love.

Blazer - Topshop

T-Shirt - River Island

Leggings - H&M

I paired this outfit with gray studded boots from Nine West. Now I regret not having taken a picture with the shoes on... Promise next week I will have a picture of my whole outfit. Wait a second, next week is CHRISTMAS ! Wooooop :)

Till then ,

What I Wore Saturday

Hi there !

So I just got back from the London Christmas Blogger Meet-Up! I had such a blast meeting some new bloggers but also discovering some new brands. After a lot of thinking and looking at other people's blogs I am finally doing a series on this blog. It's going to be called "What I Wore Saturday". From now on whatever I will be wearing on Saturday will be posted ! You might be thinking but why Saturday ? Why not Monday or Wednesday ? The explanation is pretty simple. The sun sets really early and I get back from school super late and there is no way in the mornings I have time to take pictures. So Saturday is a good day. Alright, enough talking let's check the pictures !

Top - Zara
Vest - River Island
Jeans - Bershka
Booties - Zara
Bracelet - in Frankfurt ( can't find the name of the shop! )
Nails - Topshop's Utilitarian

Finally. I have achieved an Outfit Of The Day sort of post ! How do you guys like my outfit ?

Watch this space for a little recap on the event and I will be showing you the amazing goodies we got. Also, make sure to come back next Saturday for my "What I Wore Saturday" series.

Have a good day everyone !

Tuesday Summary

Today is the first day I didn't go to the pool ! We spent the day in a shopping center and just looking at decoration stores . Fun ! Sarcastic in a way , but I end up liking these shops ... I'm about to move houses as well so I'm kind of looking for ideas for my room .

First store we went to in this shopping center was Sephora ! I had never been to Sephora as a beauty product addict . Haha that sounds kind of weird but it's true. I have only recently been obsessed with anything beauty therefore entering a Sephora store during sales is probably not the wisest thing to do. There were so many Urban Decay lipsticks and lip glosses on sale for a mere 9 euros ! There were also a few Make-Up Forever eye shadows on sale . Not sure of the price though . Oh , and there were a few Sephora lip glosses going for 2 euros ! Yes , and I didn't buy a thing . But I don't really regret that because it's not as if I actually needed any of those ... I know a lot of people buy a ton of makeup and only end up using half of  it but I'm not really that sort of person. I like to finish products I buy ( except if they are really bad of course ) . Anyway , I went to the Urban Decay counter looking for their primer but my eyes somehow brought me to their tinted moisturizer.

I quickly snapped this picture as I wasn't sure it was allowed and I didn't want to get told off by one of the sales women ... But yeah , have any of you tried this product out ? I really want to try a tinted moisturizer . I don't know I'm sort of fantasizing over them right now. I tried it out on my hand and I guess it gives a medium coverage but that's just what I presume from trying it out on my hand .

Then , we headed to Cyrillus . Your typical french clothing store , if you visit their website or their store you will probably understand what I mean by that .

But I'm not really into those sort of clothes so I just took a picture of my outfit .

Top - Zara
Shorts - Tally Weijl
Shoes - Primark
Ring - Topshop

Then we headed to Princesse Tam-Tam ( my mom's favorite lingerie store ) and my sister just sat on their sofas in front of their very princess-like changing rooms . They have some really cute stuff in that store but I just couldn't be bothered to look for new bras or PJ's in that moment . I do recommend this store to any girl , albeit their stuff can get a little pricey , during the sale is a great opportunity for you to buy their oh so cool bras.

Ha ! There goes my first ever summary of my day . That was fun . I think these will be coming up a lot in the next week or so but rest assured there will also be a review here and there . I should probably go take a shower now ! It's too hot .

My Nail Polish Collection

It is absolutely boiling in London as I type this ! I've even read in local newspapers that it's hotter than the Caribbeans ! So on this scorching Monday I thought I would do a post on my Nail Polish Collection which , I have to say , is not very wide...

These are probably my three oldest nail polishes. From left to right :
This passion red nail polish from Maybelline used to be my favorite nail polish till it got all sticky. It did last me 3 years though !
This Essence Multi-dimension nail polish in Groovy is a sort of Turquoise. I haven't used it in a long time but it is still very much intact and not gooey.
The last bottle is from P2 and I bought a long time ago as well while I was looking for a nail polish similar to Chanel's Rouge Noir. This is what I found but I have to say it needs a few coats to get that Rouge Noir color.
First of all I have to say I absolutely love Rimmel's Pro Nail Polishes because of the maxi brush ! The brush is probably the easiest brush I have ever used ! It just glides through your nails making an almost perfect manicure. Also , the nail polishes are really well tinted which means you only need to apply one coat on your nails ! From left to right  :
I love Glam Goth during the cold winter months but it is also a great color for your toes during summer !

I am not a huge fan of Purple Addict ... I just think the color is a little too kitsch !

This nail tip whitener is great if you want to give yourself a french manicure. To be honest , I have never tried doing a french manicure with this but I will try very soon !

This base coat is absolutely amazing if you want to wear it on it's own as a clear nail polish . It claims it makes your nails stronger but I don't totally agree with that .... It does protect them well though.

I have already done a review on these nail polishes . If you want to know what I think about them click here.

Barry M is probably my favorite nail polish brand out there ! They have all the colors you can think of , they're easy to apply on your nails and I can't wait to add more of their nail polishes to my collection :)

There you have it peeps , my nail polish collection ! I warned you it wouldn't be as amazing as Blair Fowler but I'm very happy with what I have ! I'm waiting for Rafa Nadal to get on Centre Court to finish my day with some tennis ...I hope you liked this post and I will talk to y'all very soon !

pocketful of sunshine

HELLO WORLD !

I'm back from planet revisons .As far as I know , it was hell . The most stressful months and weeks of my life ! I am so glad it is finally over and I can get back to my normal life. Today was the first day of summer as well ! and the sun was out in London Town :) You've got to love that especially when the weather forecast was RAIN . Okay , so I don't know about you but when I finish such a big exam the first thing on my mind is .... I WANT TO SHOP . As crazy as it sounds that's all I wanted to do ! So I headed to Harrods which is actually having a sale right now then I went to Topshop and ended up at Boots.

First up , I got this ring at Topshop for half price ! It's a pretty simple ring but I actually lack of those simple items . I realize that I only focus on getting really sophisticated items that I end up forgetting to buy the classics. So here's one of those simple rings !

I finished off at Boots with these two lovely colors from Barry M ! I wanted to get Blue Moon but as I saw these two colors I fell in love instantly and had to get them both ! They are already on my nails and I will be doing a sort of nail of the day sometime this week ! Pink Flamingo is a sort of bright pink and it actually is the same color as a flamingo so the name really does describe it well. Then the other color Strawberry Ice Cream is probably my favorite out of both . It's a sort of pale pink but not too pale...  I don't know how to explain the color but it's absolutely beautiful..Then I was in need of a make-up remover for the whole face and decided to try this one out !
Barry M - Each nailpolish £2.99 ; Boots Cleansing Lotion £1.42

There you have it ! I wanted to post this way earlier but I ended up talking on the phone for two hours with a friend and as soon as I got home I cleaned my whole room ( which is squeaky clean right now and I honestly don't remember the last time it was this tidy . ) ! Expect posts everyday :) It's the holidays people I'm on a roll ! Have a whole list of posts I want to do ! SO EXCITED .

Do you have any requests of posts ? Please leave a comment below if you do !

Nail Polish By Topshop

Hey guys ! First of all I wanted to apologize for not having updated in a while ! It's just that my exams are in exactly A WEEK and I've been revising full-time. I was checking some beauty blogs earlier and it motivated me to write this post real quick ! :) I thought I'd review these two nail polishes by Topshop !

I bought The Big Easy right at the beginning of the launch of makeup at Topshop. When I saw the prices (£5) I thought it was a little expensive for such a small bottle and I wasn't even sure of it's quality but I went on to buy it ! I think the quality of these nail polishes are quite comparable to Barry M's if not better ! You do need to put 2 to 3 coats for the polish to have a nice finish. What I like about Topshop's nail polish range is that they have similar colors as high-end brands such as Chanel . I really love Utilitarian I think it's a great year round color same goes for The Big Easy. I will definitely be purchasing more of these and probably try some other of their beauty products this summer ! Stay tuned for those !

I hope you liked this review :) Sorry it's a little rushed but I promise I'll be doing a post a day as soon as my exams are done ! I actually have quite a few ideas right now :) Can't wait to share all of my posts with you !

Talk to you guys soon .

Online Shopping

You know what I absolutely love about online shopping ? You shop without spending . Some people eventually do buy items they see on the internet but somehow I have difficulties doing so... I feel the need to touch and see the product in real life to be able to purchase it . But even if I don't buy anything online I like going through the websites of my fave shops just to see what's in store right now . Here are all the new arrivals that caught my eye...

At Zara :
Oddly , in the new arrivals only shoes caught my eye ...

£59.99
This is probably the perfect shoe for this season's color blocking trend . I can imagine it with any sort of outfit like rolled-up jeans , a skirt or even a summer dress . Click here for more details.

£19.99
I absolutely love these patent nude flats . Nude flats are a must for this season just because it goes with anything ! I used to have the nude ballet flats from Topshop but they are completely ruined. These look solid and comfy ... Definitely am going to buy this one  ! Click here for more details .

At H&M ,
These pieces are just items that are great for summer because you can just throw them on without any fuss !

£12.99
This dress in Apricot is really simple but the ruffles makes it look classier and dressed . This would be a cute outfit with a pair of nude brogues if you want to dress it up a little or with a nice pair of sandals if you're just going out ... Click  here for more details on this item.

£12.99
This denim top is cool for putting it over your bikini during the summer or it could make a lovely outfit with a pair of white shorts or if you're daring enough with denim shorts. I love the knitted detailing in the back ! Click   here for more details.

I'm planning on collecting a lot of these really thin bracelets in either bright colors , with charms or with peace signs on it , to stack them all up on one hand ! This would probably be one of them. They have quite a few colors for this , for more details on this item click here .

At River Island ,

£12.99

I love Aztec prints right not but I'm having difficulties finding any in stores.. Maybe I haven't looked enough ? I don't know ! I did find this top which I can totally imagine with a pair of shorts and Minnetonka 's ! Click here for more details on this item.

£69.99

OMG . I fell in love with this dress the second I saw it . I don't know what it is but there's just something that I adore about it . Although , it is a little pricey :s

At Topshop ,

Sadly , I only found an item and it 's an accessory. But I would say it is a pretty cool accessory I have never seen before !

£12.50

What do you think ? I think it's pretty rad with the feather hanging on the side . Oh My . Too cool ! I have to get my hands on these . HAVE TO !

At Asos ,

This top is pretty cool for date nights or for some kind of classy event ! I really like the lace detailing !

£99

A little pricey but I would definitely spend this amount on the top ! It's just flawless . Click here for more details !

I hope you enjoyed this post because I love being on the look out for new items in stores ! Sharing them with you makes it even funner :)

If you have any suggestions for other sort of posts I'm open for any propositions just leave a comment below and I'll take everything in account .

Outfit Of The Day

Hey guys !

I was hanging around the internet and found this website called Fashionlogie or Fashionsociety? Okay I totally forgot the name of the website ! But my point is I went through this album they have on the website called Stylist's portfolio and I came up with an uber-cool idea. Why not do some styling myself ? So off I went on all of  my favorite store websites and I decided to assemble a few outfits mixed with designer and high-street. I hope you like this outfit I just created ! :D

{ Please excuse my Paint skills ! :s }
From top left , Electric Blue Top by Topshop , Nude Clutch by Gucci found on Net-a-Porter, Bright Orange Pants by Zara ( they have quite a few colors for you to choose from ) , Yellow Flats by Topshop

I would've dressed up like this today just because we are having some lovely weather here in the UK and there's no better way to express yourself with COLORS !

I may do more of these before the day ends !
