2-Minute Chocolate And Salted Caramel Cake

I'm addicted to Pinterest (follow me! my username is Laurac15) and one of my favourite things to repin is food (surprising much?). This week I came across this rather interesting food picture. The description read 2-minute Chocolate And Salted Caramel Cake. 2 minutes for a chocolate cake ? Hell, I had to try it out.

You know how recipes always say 'quick & easy' or it only takes '15mins' to make but really it takes like half an hour. Yeah well this recipe will take you 5 mins. 5 mins not even exaggerating. All that is needed to do is mix the ingredients in a small bowl, and all the measurements are in tablespoons so you don't have to bring out the weighing scale and stuff.

Once that's done pour it in a mug. Pop it in the microwave for 1.30 mins and done.

I was amazed at how quick this cooked. You can find the recipe here !

The only part I really like about this cake is the top because of the melted salted caramel or chocolate. The rest of it not too big of a fan. A little to dry for my liking. But it's worth trying! Plus, if you struggle with baking this is the easiest and I mean it. The easiest thing to make.

Chicken Katsu

If you have still not figured out by now, I may have a slight obsession with food. It's seriously disturbing ! I'm known among my friends as the one who eats all day and I get a lot of 'omg are you seriously going to eat again?' from Astrid. Oh I know it's bad but food is yummy. Food is my life. I live to eat. This is probably one of the dishes I live for.

Mhmm. This is the easiest dish that needs no effort from you at all. Literally. All you have to do is stick your southern chicken from marks and spencer in the oven for 35 mins. Take it out. Drizzle it with tonkatsu sauce (bought at a japanese store my mom goes to atariya I know there are a few of those stores around london but if you live in central london the japanese centre is a place you want to check out) ! And voila.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I reckon this will be one of my go-to dishes will in uni. It isn't the healthiest meal though... But I balance it out with a green smoothie ! I think that does the trick ;)

Melted Goat Cheese on Puff Pastry

Hey lovelies,

Holy Crap. Doesn't the title just make you drool ? Mhhm I'm actually craving this stuff right now. This recipe is just like most of the recipes I put up on the blog - delicious and easy-to-do.

Main Ingredients : Caramelised Red Onion , Puff Sheet and Goat's Cheese

Cut out the puff pastry in circles using anything circular. Ha. Then break an egg in a small bowl and take a brush and swipe a bit of egg on top of each circle.

Then add a tablespoon of caramelised onion followed by a slice of goat's cheese. Drizzle a bit of oil on top of each goat's cheese followed by some salt and pepper.

Pop it into the oven until it's a little brown and you are good to go !

How easy is this !? And trust me this is the tastiest thing you will ever eat (as a starter). It is the easiest and quickest thing to do for whenever you feel like impressing someone or even yourself ! So head over to the kitchen and get cooking ! :)

My Take On The Ben's Cookie

I know I have already posted a "Best Chocolate Chip Cookies" recipe but this one you guys are THE best. They're soft, they're chewy, they're basically the closest thing I have made to Ben's Cookies. Yes, you read that right BEN'S COOKIES. If you've never heard of Ben's Cookies, it is the most scrumptious chewy-melty cookie in the world ! If you live in London or intend on coming to London then you're going to want to eat these monsters.

You are going to need:

250g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
170g unsalted butter, melted
200g dark brown soft sugar
100g caster sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 bars good quality chocolate

Start off by preheating your oven at 170C. Grease your baking trays.

Sift together the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt and leave to one side. In another bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and caster sugar. Beat in the vanilla essence, egg and an extra egg yolk until light and creamy. Now, you can add your flour mix until well blended. Take your chocolate bars and chop them into small rough chunks. Add them to your mixture and stir properly.

Depending on the size you want your cookies to look like, take the dough and roll them in a ball in your hand.

Pop them onto the baking tray and make sure to give them a little space to spread out !

Bake them for 10 minutes or until the edges are slightly toasted !

I hope you guys enjoyed this recipe and tell me what you think about them if you happen to bake these ! ;)

Easy Tasty Baked Tapenade Chicken

Hello there girlies,

I have been neglecting this space a little too much recently... Whoopsies ! But now that I am on holidays I'm going to be able to post so much more and maybe include a video or two :) Today I bring you this little dish that I made the other day when my mom wasn't in and that I had to cook. It is pretty much the easiest thing to do. Trust me !

These are the two main ingredients you are going to need : Boneless Chicken Breasts and Green Olive
Tapenade.

You are going to want to slit the chicken three times as you can see above.

Put it in a baking dish and cover the chicken with tapenade (the more the yummier). Then add some white wine, oil, cloves and slices of tomatoes and there you have it. Some yummy dinner done in seconds! If I remember well I left it to cook for 25-30 mins in the oven.

Dinner made in minutes and perfect for when you don't have time to do anything too complicated.

Hope you like it,

Laura

Best Soft And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Over the week-end I had a sudden craving for some chocolate chip cookies. I have tried my fair share of recipes and they were all really good. What I was looking for this time were soft and chewy cookies and I think I found it.

How yummy do they look !? The best part is that it's the easiest thing to bake .

I took my recipe from here

So head to your kitchen and cook up a storm ! :)

Homemade Pizza

The title of this post is making me hungry... Anywho , I love to bake , cook and eat ( duh ) so i thought what better way to share my love for food ! But I feel like the only times I have posted recipes or anything about food really , it has only been unhealthy food . Well , this is probably going to add up to that list of unhealthy food posts but i think it really depends on the toppings you put on your pizza base. In this particular pizza these are the ingredients i chose :

This is a great tomato sauce for you pizza base.

I topped my pizza with two chicken sausages which i chopped up into slices. Again , you can use whichever toppings you like. If you want a healthy pizza than maybe go with a vegetarian pizza ?

I added a bit of herbs on top just to give a bit more taste to the pizza.

And then i added loads and loads of cheese . I love cheese . Cheddar is my favorite cheese for pizza but you can use mozzarella , emmental or even parmesan !

First , you are going to need a good base ( mine was a little too thin here :s ) . I took my pizza base recipe from here.

Then you're going to want to spread the tomato sauce all over the base.

Add your toppings ...

Then the herbs...

And then cheese ! Leave it in your oven for about 10 mins and ...

TADAAAA !

This is probably going to be the most boring food post i am ever going to do cause you all probably know how to make pizzas but this was fun :)

Today is France's national day ! WOOP WOOP . Yeah , i don't really know what we are suppose to do but i'm just going to chill out by the pool. Sounds good.

Instant Noodles.

I have yet to post anything about food on this blog and if you follow me on Twitter or if you know me personally you probably know how much I love food. This is probably not the healthiest thing out there and it is not my favorite food but I do enjoy it once in a while ... Especially on those lazy days when you're not in the mood for cooking !

To calculate how much soup I want, I fill up the bowl, in which I'll be having my noodles, with the quantity of soup I want.

This is yummy . Although , I do prefer Maggi Noodles Chicken Flavor but I don't think I've seen this brand over here in the UK !

Anywho , if you've never tried these stuff you should definitely give it a go . Again , it is nothing compared to hand-made noodles you find in restaurants but when you're in a rush it does the trick.

What are your favorite easy-to-do foods ? Please share in the comments below !
