Day 2 & 3 of my trip to Lake District

I can't believe this bank holiday week-end is coming to an end . I had an amazing time in Lake District except the weather mostly consisted of rain which kind of ruined the trip . But we were lucky enough to have a few sunny intervals towards the afternoon ! We hiked a lot and I also fell a lot . ( 4 times ! fyi i was wearing converse which aren't exactly the best shoes when you go on a hike ! ) I'm going to stop talking now and let the pictures speak for themselves !

Gotta Get Down On Saturday !

Holla ! We arrived in Lake District late last night after a 6-hour drive ! Here we are and ... IT'S RAINING . I was planning on taking gorgeous pictures for a project and here I am with rain ! I decided to stay in this morning to start working because my exams are coming up ! But I'll be going out later this afternoon to sightsee I guess ... Try and capture as many pictures as I can ! For now , this is what I have .

 I was really bored and just had to take this one .. Pretty random and it's not even centered. #badphotography

 I tried taking a good picture of my cat eye but as you can see I pretty much failed !

Today's outfit : Top - H&M , Jeans - H&M , Shoes - Converse.

Excuse my sort of psycho face . LOL

This is what I'm eating as I type this ... My LUNCH . I'll probably grab a pie or something yummy to eat in a bit !

Where Is The Love ?

FHey everyone !

How are you all ? I feel like it's been ages since I last blogged ! But here I am in my room jamming to some Black Eyed Peas ( explains the title of this post ) and communicating with my followers . I just joined the independent fashion bloggers community and so far I have had a pretty warm welcome with a flood of messages coming right in my inbox . Also , I don't know if you saw but I have a brand new seal on my blog ! I have been accepted to iFabbo which is amazing for me. I never thought I'd be chosen to join ! Anyway , this last week-end  , I went out with a friend , Carla , we were just suppose to go to Starbucks to get a Frappuccino at half price but we ended at Harrods , as usual .

 We headed straight to the Pet Kingdom just because they always have the cutest kitties and puppies and then SHOE SECTION . The second I saw these shoes from Sam Edelman I HAD to try them . But they didn't have my size so Carla tried them out . What do you think about these babies ? 

 Then Carla tried out these Kurt Geiger platforms. How amazing are they ? 

I tried the same ones but in a dark blue just because it went well with my maxi dress :) These shoes are EXTREMELY comfy . They kind of remind me of Jeffrey Campbell's platforms ... 

  

We then spent the night at Carla's talking and we ended up watching 27 Dresses . ( well they did because I sort of fell asleep 10 minutes into the movie :s ) 

I'll be going to the Lake District for this Bank Holiday week-end ! I will update you every night and sort of do a travel journal ? Should be fun .

You know what I absolutely love about online shopping ? You shop without spending . Some people eventually do buy items they see on the internet but somehow I have difficulties doing so... I feel the need to touch and see the product in real life to be able to purchase it . I recently discovered this young French designer via Twitter when she started following me . I went on her profile checked out her collection and I was completely amazed at her collection being inspired , mainly , by origami . It's pretty awesome ! My favorite piece from her S/S '11 Collection is probably this one :

I love the abstract pastel colors on the dress as well as it's shape !

Dove Summer Glow

Now that the hot weather is here and will be here for a while, everyone is wearing skirts , shorts , dresses ... Meaning, we're going to be showing off more skin than usual. Some people want to accelerate their tan and use self-tanning lotion's . I am among those who hate having white legs so last year I had the marvelous idea to buy a moisturizer "with a hint of self-tanning agents" (why am I emphasizing on the hint ? wait for it . )

So last year , one morning,  I decided I would wear a skirt and use my newly bought self tan moisturiser. Happy me spread all of it on my very white legs and there I was ready to go to school . When I got to school I started looking at my legs and right around the ankles there were these dark patches ... ( Just like the ones you can see in the above picture.) Imagine how embarrassed I was . The worst part is that it stayed on my legs for a pretty long time ... So , are they sure when they say "hint" because honestly those patches were not cool . The only thing I liked about this product was that it smelled lovely.

 Honestly , I only used it once and I'm not sure I'll be using it again ... The dark patches made me think twice and this year I'm going to go for a natural tan ! If you do have any recommendations when it comes to applying this, please do leave a comment !

I've been saving a lot of pictures that have been inspiring me throughout the week to be able to share with you guys. Weirdly , I have been listening to The Potential Break Up Song by Aly&AJ a lot this week ! (wtf I know...) The last time I remember listening to that song was probably 4 years back ... 'Nuff said , let's get to the pictures already !
