maybelline pure liquid mineral foundation

This was the first ever foundation I purchased after seeing one of my classmates use it in class. She convinced me it was the best foundation she had ever used and little naive me believed her.

At first I really liked this foundation but the more I use it the less I like it. If you are looking for a foundation that actually covers blemishes or spots ( that's what foundations are for right !? ), this is definitely not the foundation for you. I would describe this foundation as a second color on your skin but not much of a coverage. It looks cakey and to be honest it makes your skin look worst. I know it sounds really harsh but it really does make your skin look horrid. The only positive thing about this foundation is that it doesn't break you out.

Hope this will help !

shine by heidi klum

I was given a few perfumes this summer when I interned for Coty but this one is my favorite among them.

The bottle is pretty simple and there's nothing really extraordinary about it. The perfume itself though? I love.   Because I am so bad at describing scents I thought i'd just give you the description of the perfume : " The fragrance opens with notes of mandarin, pink pepper and pear. Its heart contains mimosa absolut, lily of the valley and sunflower. The base is composed of vanilla, tonka beans and Cosmone musk." This is probably one of the longest descriptions of a fragrance I have ever read. (LOL) This musky sort of scent is perfect for the winter time and every single time I wear this I get a nice comment and my friends ask me which perfume it is. It has definitely become one of my favorites!

NOTD : metallic-y pink

When I was given Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength in Platinum I thought it would be one of my nail polishes that were going to be left untouched, instead I found a pretty cool way to use it !

From left to right : Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Platinum , Barry M Nail Paint in Strawberry Ice Cream , Sally Hansen Continuous Treatment Base and Top coat.

What I do is I put a layer of base coat followed by my "main" color. In this case, I used Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream but you can use any color ! After having done that I let it dry and top it up with Platinum ! I just love the metallic-y look it gives. I know my nails are not exactly in their best condition in this picture :( Whoopsies.

l'oreal super liner

This is probably one of my most used product for the past few months. I just can't get enough of it and although  I do own other sorts of black eyeliners I always go back to this one.

It is just the easiest thing to use and if you are afraid of jumping on the liquid eyeliner back wagon but you really think you're going to suck at it, this is probably what you should start off with. The brush is the perfect thickness, it's not too thick or too thin so it just makes it easier for you to apply it ! If you want a really thin line on your upper lid you can totally make that happen with this brush. Same goes for if you want a real thick line. The other amazing thing about this ? it will stay on for the longest time. I tend to have some oily lids and this eyeliner holds on for the whole day !  It doesn't smudge , it dries up pretty quickly... Ah ! I only have good things to say about this!

If you are interested in this product you can either find it at Superdrug or Boots for £6.49 ( worth every penny )

gift ideas for your girlfriends

Hi everyone !

Today's post is a little different from anything I have ever done but I thought this would be something helpful for any girl out there. Last week-end was my best friend's birthday and i had to find a present ( DOH!) . She wanted anything make-up. As i was scouring Harrods something caught my eye at the Benefit counter :

This make-up kit !

Benefit has these limited edition boxes specially made for gifts. ( I could honestly get one of these for myself though! )  This is what's inside :

So sorry the picture is not the right way round ! You guys are either going to have to twist your heads or turn your computer around. :s Anyway, all the eye shadows are limited edition and they're just perfect for a smokey eye :)

If you don't like the combination of products found in this box, go check out the nearest Benefit Counter near you! ( they have a lot more choices )

Hope this was helpful xo

Best Soft And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Over the week-end I had a sudden craving for some chocolate chip cookies. I have tried my fair share of recipes and they were all really good. What I was looking for this time were soft and chewy cookies and I think I found it.

How yummy do they look !? The best part is that it's the easiest thing to bake .

I took my recipe from here

So head to your kitchen and cook up a storm ! :)

Maybelline's Dream Matte Powder

Hello Ladies!

I have not done a review in a long long time but my shelves are oozing of new products waiting to be reviewed. One of my newest purchases was Maybelline's Dream Matte Powder. I have been having extremely oily skin and i just couldn't handle it anymore! My dermatologist warned me not to use blotting papers as they actually end up giving you oilier skin on the long term. So off I went to my Superdrug to find the perfect loose powder to absorb all of the excess oil.

Claims : Beautiful Matte Perfection. Air-Soft Feel. Matte Finish.

This powder actually came with an applicator which i actually dropped in the bus ( clumsy me! ) but it honestly wasn't a big lost ! I now apply this powder with my Mac 129SH brush and it gives me an absolute perfect finish. What I love about this product is that it doesn't look cakey (when applied with a brush) ! It does a great job when it comes to absorbing the oils from your skin but what saddens me is that it doesn't last that long. I give it a 2-hour max lasting finish which is not that much to be honest and it just means you always have to go to the bathroom to re-apply a layer of it. I ( being at school ) don't necessarily have the time to put this over and over again... I really like this product though! It doesn't break me out and it does stick to their claims. I have the oiliest skin ever so that's maybe why this product has some difficulties stopping it but i honestly think that if your skin is not super oily this will be a great add-on to your make-up bag. Also this I have to say is AWESOME to bring around with you because it has a mirror !

Hope you all enjoyed this review and I will talk to y'all next time.
