Nutrasome Thickening Shampoo And Serum by Revlon

Hey girlies,

I have been suffering from hair loss recently... Not sure what it is, if it's because I have a very oily scalp or because I have thin hair or if i'm stressed out ! But I was determined to find a solution to my problem and fast ! So off I went to my local Boots to purchase this Nutrasome thickening shampoo and serum. Beforehand, I had read a few reviews which convinced me to buy this.

Claims: The unique formulation in Nutrasome Thickening Shampoo contains TriOxyl Complex which glides through the hair without damaging hair strands. It is designed to penetrate down to the root of each hair strand, increasing its flexible strength and works on the outside to help hair feel thicker, look thicker and be thicker.

This sounds like an amazing product, don't you think ? I mean if you saw this product in-stores and just read the description and the claims you would fall for it. Just like I did. I should have known this was just some rubbish talk! The Shampoo and the Serum worked pretty well during the first week. My hair had a lot more volume and it wasn't dropping as much which really reassured me. As I came into my second week of using this product, I felt my hair wasn't as strong as it was in the last few days... Imagine how annoyed I was. So what can I say about this product ? It works but only for a week. Definitely not what you can call a "good" product. So although the description was well written this is definitely not something I could recommend for someone suffering from hair loss.

But thank god I found a whole new hair routine with great products and I will do a whole other post on that so keep your eyes peeled ;)

  2. its not for hair loss, it doesn't say any wear on it that its for hair loss! thats like me buying a red bull energy drink and righting a review about how it stops me from sleeping, doesn't make sens

  3. There are many factors which influenced the development of Hair Thickening. While much has been written on its influence on contemporary living, its influence on western cinema has not been given proper recognition. Often it is seen as both a help and a hindrance to the over 50, who are yet to grow accustomed to its discombobulating nature. With the primary aim of demonstrating my considerable intellect I will now demonstrate the complexity of the many faceted issue that is Hair Thickening.

  5. I have used Nutrasome 1 and 2 on a daily basis for over 20 years and have been very satisfied with the way it has kept my hair clean and healthy. I wouldn't think of changing products.

    1. Me too...but now it's not available in Boots, and more than that, after repeated internet searches, I can't find either WHY it's not now available, or where it is otherwise stocked. It was only available from Boots all this time anyway, as far as I was aware. Any leads?

  7. Yes this product is not for hair that is falling out it helps thicken hair and grow faster, if your hair is falling out then that is usually a symptom of either iron deficiency or a medical condition which a bottle of shampoo obviously cant cure.

  8. I'm male (Dutch) and I have used it over 15 year and it did really help me. I came from very very thin hair (in +/_ 1,5 years) back to full head (bunch) of hair. But have not seen it on the market (Boots) for the last mounth. I always bought it in GB. Where can I get ik now ? Jan Bart
